Policy on Work Accident, Occupational Disease Insurance in Vietnam

During the process of production activities, there are factors or incidents that affect health workers, such as hazardous working environments, prolonged fixed postures, accidents caused by machinery, etc., resulting in a decrease even permanent loss work ability. Accidents occurring during labor illnesses arising from conditions incur costs for medical treatment, functional recovery, purchase assistive devices daily living, caregivers case disability severe illness, reduction income due to inability perform previous works, need find new job suitable condition. Economic and social development has impacted occupational risks workers changed protection needs against these risks. Therefore, countries, including Vietnam, have promulgated policies involved related diseases, with cornerstone being insurance regime diseases. This writing analyzes achieved results limitations policy diseases proposes solutions improve this policy.
